We are looking for compassionate, energetic and reliable Wake Night Support Workers to join our team supporting a 7-year-old child with complex needs within a specialist solo children’s annex setting.

This is not your typical “sleepy” wake night role — we are looking for individuals who are proactive, caring and motivated to create a safe, organised and positive environment ready for each new day.

You will always work alongside another experienced member of staff and become part of a dedicated team focused on consistency, care and positive outcomes.

As a Wake Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the child’s safety, wellbeing and comfort throughout the night.

Your responsibilities will include:

✨ Providing attentive overnight support within the annex setting
✨ Maintaining a calm, safe and nurturing environment
✨ Supporting routines and responding to individual needs
✨ Preparing and organising for the following day
✨ Planning activities and creating engaging ideas for daytime support
✨ Ensuring the annex remains clean, organised and “sparkly” for the child
✨ Accurate record keeping and handovers
✨ Working collaboratively alongside another member of staff at all times
✨ Promoting safeguarding, structure and positive experiences

We are seeking individuals who are:

āœ” Passionate about supporting children and young people
āœ” Calm, patient and emotionally resilient
āœ” Proactive and able to stay motivated throughout wake nights
āœ” Organised and able to maintain high standards within the home
āœ” Confident working within a team environment
āœ” Experienced within children’s residential care, support work or complex needs support (preferred but not essential depending on transferable skills)

šŸ’« Supportive management and experienced team environment
šŸ’« Meaningful work where you can genuinely make a difference
šŸ’« Ongoing training and development opportunities
šŸ’« Consistent shifts and stability
šŸ’« The opportunity to be part of a child-centred and therapeutic environment
